About Redjmusic Newsletter

The Redjmusic Letter is maintained by Jules Cohen of Redjmusic and is a special feature only on Grave Concerns E-zine.

My name is Jules Cohen. I am the CEO and founder of RedjMusic(BMI). RedjMusic has been in operation since early 1994 when I started to write and publish the first of my 2 cds with my 2 bands. Jules Cohen and then spiritease

I just obtained my masters of social work degree (MSW) and am honoured to be working with: www.roadrecovery.org and the talented Crazy James (band): www.crazyjames.net

I produced and sang at many venues(The Bitter End, CBGB's, Arlene Grocery, Downtime(and Batcave), Acme Underground, The Knitting Factory, JMTC theatre co). This newsletter is in connection with the ever growing and popular: Graveconcernsezine.com . (CEO- Julie Johnson- http://www.graveconcernsezine.com).

This RedjMusic newsletter is for the talented musicians I have gigged with over the years...who work hard and make fabulous music, and to spotlight how strong the NYC music scene is. These artists are alt pop, folk pop, alterna rock, urban groove, jazz, folk, accoustic and more). This site will be updated on a regular basis with cd reviews, interviews, gigs, and additional awesome talent. Please check back with us every couple of weeks.

Redjmusic Newsletter- April 2007

Monica Richards is currently recording an album with ANIMA UNDI and will be on tour with them supporting CONFLICT . Monica will also be singing with Conflict on some songs. Those of you who've always wished to see Monica during her early hardcore days won't want to miss these shows, but don't expect F&TM or InfraWarrior music, this is "in-yer-face" Punk Rock! Special guests Scarred For Life. All shows are all ages, and advance tickets are generally $10.

From emails we've been receiving, a possible Fall tour is in the works for the East Coast!

Copies of the European edition of Monica's solo CD, InfraWarrior, and her graphic novel, Anafae will be available at these shows while supplies last!

Featured artist: SANDRA GRACE

Sandra Grace has crafted one of the best covers of the Eurythmics gem "Here comes the rain again". It's fresh, it's hip and perfect for 2007. Sandra's dance/pop vibe is quite gripping and grabbing and it's hard to resist her charms. Sandra can be requested on your local radio station, and is moving and shaking with people like Madonna, Oakenfold and many others! Sandra is hot. Tune in now at:

Jen Chapin has done it again and is READY for you to hear her new tunes. Beautiful Jazz/pop tunes that never fail to plaese the ear. I have known Jen for many years and her music gets stronger and more intimate with each new album. Jen is now a mom and she brings that experience to her music as well. "Strip it bare" and "NYC" are some of Jen's best work to date. Follow her here and see her live:

Mira- "A living prayer"
Mira's music and vocals are soothing and most definately prayerful. As a practitioner of Kirtan she has transcended her love and experience of this yoga into her music. Hear for yourself and join her in a city near you live and with her friends.
